Where Am I?
August 19, 2008 | Leave a Comment
I have been away from my blog for sometime and was busy trying a new work schedule of balancing between working on my new affiliate using Pay Per Click (PPC) and Search Engine Optimising (SEO-ing) the webpages.
I have to start from scratch and like what my friend Roger said, starting takes 95% effort. In between my own project, I also helped a friend to set up a simple new site for his business, SEO-ed it and got it listed on the first page on Google for his niche. Now we get a few enquiries a day…not too bad if I would say it.
Though I “disappeared” from my blog a few weeks, I was really productive!
As I am competing in a larger niche, basic SEO skills is not enough. I have to spend more time on advanced techniques. So I still have to spend time on my new affiliate product. But I’m working out a new working time schedule which will allow me to spend some time on my blog as well.
Perhaps a post or 2 everyweek. So do subscribe to my newsletters and get updated whenever I post a new post.
How To Protect Your Content On The Internet?

When you want to sell on the internet, you will bound to publish something, whether it is a simple blog post, a review, a description of the product or an article. These content are read by many people. Some will learn from you, some will model your content and some will copy your stuff.
So how do you protect your contents on the internet?
There are several ways of protecting your content. The 2 most simple ways are:
1. Register for Copyscape services. The free service can be used to monitor who has copied contents from your website without permission. Then its up to you what you want to do.
2. Licence your work at Creative Commons. There are 6 conditions which your work can be used by others. You can choose how you want your content to be used. Those who uses photos according to my earlier posts will know about creative commons licences.
Remember you want to protect your content but you want your content to be viral and helpful to your marketing purpose. So stike a balance between sharing your content while protecting it.
